Description of the Resort

Saj by the lake is an oasis of tranquility and wellbeing nestled on the banks of a picturesque lake. Surrounded by pimpalgaon dam this 15 room resort allows you to truly connect with nature and leave behind the stresses of the city.

A quick 3 hour drive from Mumbai and even less from Pune Saj by the Lake transports you to a place where you can take long walks by the lake, hike waterfall dotted mountains in all directions, spot exotic birds across seasons, visit heritage sites and relive a bit of history or find god amongst some transcending temples and sites.

And if just vegetating and relaxing is on your agenda then stay within our gorgeous resort and enjoy the stunning views from your room, the delightful sun caressing you on the swimming pool deck, the children’s play area bound to excite your kids, delicious food inspired from the spirit of the soil at our restaurant and the serenity that is Saj By the Lake Malshej Ghat.

Dinning Experience in Saj by the lake

The dining experience at Saj by the lake is an extension of our resident’s experiences with the varied elements of nature that surround the very resort itself.

Our restaurant is called Maati Baani translated as the Language of Earth – “Mitti ki Bhaasha” and its food philosophy is understanding that the earth has its own magical way of presenting itself in forms of mud, rocks, crops, plants and each has its own uniqueness like different languages spoken.

The language is abstract and needs to be felt through the above elements and hence the brick work to give “Mitti” feeling, clouds to give the feel of open space, cooking of food in mud pots to give the earthy flavour, serving in earthenware to understand simplicity and pit cooking to know mud’s magical power to flavour.

Any cancellation/amendment made within 14 days prior to the date of arrival, 50% of the amount paid will be forfeited.
